About

Mike Platt  - Audio Engineer

Starting as a multi-instrumentalist who naturally gravitated toward the technical side of performances, I’ve spent the last 15+ years building a career in live sound engineering and touring production. Based in the UK, I hold a degree in Live Music and Touring Production and have worked across nearly every corner of the live audio industry—from venue and production house operations to global large-scale arena and festival tours.

My background spans both technical infrastructure and creative execution. With deep experience as an audio systems technician, rack & infrastructure manufacturing, and RF engineering, I bring a solid technical foundation to every show. As an engineer, I move seamlessly between Front of House and Monitors, balancing the creative craft of FOH mixing with the technical precision, IEM management, and clear communications required on stage.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of touring with and mixing for a wide range of artists—including 5 Seconds of Summer, Tom Walker, Ben Howard, James Bay, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Scissor Sisters, The Script plus many more —as well as supporting high-pressure broadcast events and multi-artist festival lineups.

At the core of my approach is a belief that exceptional live sound starts at the source. Great music, combining robust technical planning, strong industry relationships, and high standards to deliver reliable, great-sounding shows every night.
